Unlike other flight schools, we don’t give you some crazy guesstimate. We offer a FLAT FEE with unprecedented value!
To train for your Private Pilot License, in YOUR AIRCRAFT:
$7,000.00 – Unlimited Flight Instruction & Ground Instruction until you pass your Private Pilot Practical Exam with the FAA.
To train for your Private Pilot License in OUR AIRCRAFT:
Unlimited instruction at $7,000 plus additional $10,500 for up to 60 hours of aircraft rental.
Should you require MORE flight time, you pay only the aircraft hourly rate of $185/hr w/fuel. You DO NOT pay for additional instruction! **Advanced aircraft for Complex/High Performance and/or tailwheel training have different hourly rates – ask for details**
We have access to aircraft you are able to rent as a student pilot. We charge a rental fee that covers the cost of maintenance, upkeep, and ownership of the aircraft, as well as fuel costs.
We can also connect you with local brokers who can help you find your own plane before, during, or after training!
Call or text the owner, Ryan (QZ) at 580-475-6351 – or email us at qz.aviation.us@gmail.com
To sign up initially, you’ll call or text the owner, Ryan (QZ) at 580-475-6351 – or email us at qz.aviation.us@gmail.com
We’ll discuss your training needs, and work out a schedule that fits! From there, we’ll use our scheduling app or mesh calendars to set a steady training schedule.
QZ Aviation is unlike other flight schools, because we focus on a limited number of students. This allows us to work out a training contract with you, that will start with AT LEAST 4 training blocks per week.
If you’d like more blocks, we can work that out!
Since QZ Aviation is laser focused on a smaller number of premium students, like yourself – we can be flexible with scheduling. Should weather intervene, we’ll work together to find a different time that training can occur.
Sometimes ground training may be substituted for flight training, AS NEEDED. We find this to be less troublesome since students are scheduled for more training blocks, and longer training blocks.
And, since you get UNLIMITED instruction, ground training doesn’t cost you extra!
We mean what we say! You’re paying for value.
Good flight instruction requires an instructor who is focused on the student – and a student who feels comfortable learning & feels that they are getting their money’s worth!
The flat instruction fee you pay, covers you for flight instruction, ground instruction, and consultation for your FAA written exam prep software (we have you purchase your own test prep package and work on that on your own, to be cost effective & sensible).
We find that students learn better when they aren’t counting every tenth of an hour on the clock, and when they have access to a focused and dedicated instructor.
That means whether you end up needing 45 hours of instruction, or 75 hours of instruction, you have an instructor that isn’t milking you for hourly costs, or trying to ‘get to the next student’.
Why? Because we actually care about your training. We’re not looking to get hours and go work for the airlines – we want to create safe, competent and confident pilots. Isn’t that the kind of pilot you want to be?
And maybe QZ isn’t for you! That’s okay. We’re ALL ABOUT getting folks flying, and that doesn’t mean it has to be here!
We’re friendly with the other flight schools in the Ozarks, and happy to help you find another school if their schedule, costs, or aircraft are a better fit for you!
Private Pilot training is meant to train you to understand MULTIPLE concepts required to be a safe, and competent pilot.
This will include theory for aerodynamics, aircraft structure and systems, legal rules & requirements for pilots and aircraft, airspace & the national air traffic system, weather prediction & patterns, radio operation & communication, navigation using radios, GPS, and visual references and calculations, as well as a broad scope of safety & risk management strategies.
That is in addition to physically learning how to taxi, take-off, fly, and land an aircraft.
By the time you’re done, you’ll be able to fly a single engine airplane, anywhere in the US!
